Model referenced to explore color styles and vector manipulation. This project with the 3 photos of these models is my first time accomplishing vector portrait with realistic features. I’m not into realism of colors and chose expressive, abstract palette instead.

Same as “Mei,” this portrait was a project to challenge myself into how to better use vector along with understanding this type of color palette on people. First color palette was horrendous.

Last of this series, I found Samba’s portrait and decided to find what best composed and reflected their tone from their photo. As mentioned on “Mei’s” description, my goal isn’t to be color accurate but to choose palettes that achieved the same purpose, just different hues.
This piece helped me understand the flexible nature of dark colors as it can be anything as long as it’s the darkest value of a piece.
